Types of Dyslexia
Dysphonesia (Auditory)
- Occurs as a result of low phonological awareness.
- Find it difficult in understanding and arranging sounds.
- Find it difficult interpreting or retrieving sounds.
- The effect of this in misspellings, use wrong term of similar words, or deleting syllables shows difficulty in understanding quick speech.
Dyseidesia (Visual)
- Difficulty in recognizing the word as a whole and linking it to its sound corresponding
- Affects the understanding of information .
- This affects writing, reading and copying, it may see the letters inverted d b-n u- Or numbers 6-9 and so on.
Dysnemkinesia (kinesthetic)
- Motor memory to form letters in the correct direction .
- Causing many problems in handwriting (illegible writing).
- Affects directions in general .
